On October 16, 2012

Johnny Depp is launching a new imprint with HarperCollins.

The imprint, Infinitum Nihil, which shares its name with Depp’s production company, vows to be "authentic, outspoken, and visionary."

The first book, House of Earth, will be published in January 2013. It is folk singer Woody Guthrie's novel, originally written in 1947, about ordinary people battling corporate interests in the Texas Panhandle. The novel has only recently been discovered.

In 2015 the imprint will release The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan by historian Douglas Brinkley, It will be based on interviews with Dylan by Brinkley.

Depp said, in a statement released by HarperCollins, " ... we will do our best to deliver publications worthy of peoples' time, of peoples' concern, publications that might ordinarily never have breached the parapet. For this dream realised, we would like to salute HarperCollins for their faith in us and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship together."
