The Notebook to be TV series

On August 12, 2015

One of our favourite films is being made into a TV series. The Notebook which starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams is having a makeover.

A series based on Nicholas Sparks’ bestselling 1996 novel and the 2004 film is said to be in the works with US television network CW.

“This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.”

Nicholas Sparks will be involved in the production. If you haven’t read the book, you can buy it here.

Take a look at the iconic film. Can the TV series really improve on this?
