The trailer has just been released for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the beginning of Bilbo's three part adventure into Middle Earth.

Martin Freeman plays Bilbo Baggins with Sir Ian McKellen returning as Gandalf, joined by Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving.

Warner Bros has set up a website to support the film. Fans can click on any of the five endings to make their own trailer and send it to friends.

The film will be in cinemas in 3D on December 14.
